Lines & Wrinkles: Understanding Your Treatment Options
There are several approaches to treating facial lines and wrinkles, and the right one for you depends on your skin, your goals, and a face to face assessment. This page is designed to give factual background on the options that may be discussed at your consultation. It is not a promotion of any specific treatment, and no treatment options would be agreed until you have been assessed at a face to face consultation with our prescriber, Dr Helen.
Non prescription options:
Treatments such as chemical peels, microneedling, and skin boosters can improve skin texture, tone, and fine lines, and can be booked directly without a prescriber assessment.

Prescription only options
Some lines and wrinkles, particularly those caused by repeated muscle movement, such as frown lines or crow's feet, are sometimes treated using a prescription only medicine, commonly known as Botox. This class of medicine works by temporarily relaxing the targeted muscle, which can reduce the appearance of the lines above it. Effects are temporary and generally reduce over a period of months.
As with any prescription medicine, this option can only be offered following a one to one consultation with our prescribing clinician, who will assess your suitability, discuss the risks and expected results, and answer any questions before anything is agreed. It is not suitable for everyone, and neither treatment nor price can be confirmed until this assessment has taken place.
What happens next?
If you would like to understand which options might suit you, the first step is booking a consultation. There is no obligation, and Dr Helen will only proceed with any prescription only treatment if it is clinically appropriate for you.
